Agronomic advice

Advice that shows up on the ground

Good agronomy is a regular on-farm presence. Because the work needs boots on the ground week after week, our advisory service is offered to producers close to our Stanthorpe base — while short-term consulting and training reaches much further.

  • Pest management

In-field monitoring of the pests that matter in fruit and vegetables — codling and light brown apple moth, Queensland fruit fly, thrips, aphids and mites.

  • Crop nutrition

Recommendations built on soil and leaf analysis, visual assessment and decades of local knowledge and experience.

  • Soil water & irrigation

Monitoring and irrigation advice for tree, vine and vegetable crops, based on MEA's advanced GBug technology.

  • Specialty crop products

Extenday reflective mulch, crop thinners, Regalis and other specialty products that enhance production and quality.

Research & development

Trials that stand up to scrutiny

Orchard Services holds GLP accreditation — Good Laboratory Practice — as Field Principal Investigators with both AgriSolutions Field Services and Peracto, conducting small-plot efficacy, residue and crop-safety trials that help develop and test new horticultural products.

Clients include all the major farm product supply companies as well as industry bodies. Trial types include:

  • Fungicides
  • Insecticides
  • Herbicides
  • Biological agents & IPM aids
  • Plant growth regulators
  • Crop thinners
  • Reflective mulches
  • Fertilisers
  • Sunburn protection
  • Post-harvest treatments
